Pete Gowing

United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America:

Peter is a 33-year member of the brotherhood; initiated into Local Union #1342 on September 4, 1986.

From 2001 thru 2011, he served Local Union #1342 in various positions from Financial Secretary, Recording Secretary, Vice President, & eventually became President in 2011.

He also served on the Recreation Committee, Apprentice Committee & the Political Education Committee for Local #1342.  

In 2006, he was hired by the NJRCC as an Organizer/Council Representative. 

In 2008, he was appointed to (formerly the NJRCC) the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters Executive Board. 

In 2011, the newly formed Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters named him Vice President and Business Manager of Local Union #253.

In 2012, he was elected Vice President of Local Union #253 and Delegate to the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters.

In 2018, the newly formed Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters named him Regional Manager of Local Union’s #253 & #254.

In 2018, he was also appointed as a Trustee to the Northeast Carpenters Fund.

In 2019, he was appointed to the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters Executive Board.
